Txt msgs r gr8 4 not talking.
It has been recently reported by Nielsen that Americans are now consistently sending or receiving more text messages than phone calls. As of Q2 of 2008, U.S. mobile subscribers were sending and receiving 357 text messages per month, compared to making and receiving 204 phone calls a month.
This says a lot about our [snack] culture. We have for years enjoyed bite-sized food, bite-sized content and now bite-sized conversations. I have friends that I can't even get to talk (literally talk) anymore. I'll call, they won't pick up, but then send me a text right back saying "hey, what's up?"
What's up? Not your receiver. Answer the stupid phone every once in a while. What good is the ability to talk if you don't use it? Perhaps future generations will give up speaking all together.
